Most of us have are either left-handed or right-handed, have a particular eye dominance, and will choose one foot over another repeatedly when kicking a ball. But most people haven’t thought of having a preferred ear from which to hear — until recently.

A recent Italian study claims that individuals are more likely to perform a task when information is received in the right ear than the left. Researchers conducted three studies looking at ear preference in communications between people, especially in noisy social situations, and found a natural side bias. Right-ear dominance is believed to reflect the brain’s left hemisphere which features the processors for verbal information. According to researchers, the findings indicate an advantage for human understanding and compliance to tasks or instructions when information is received in the right ear only vs. the left. This doesn’t apply to normal conversations when persons are spoken to in a normal, face-to-face setting, but rather situations call for conversations directed to a person’s particular ear.

Next time you are in a noisy setting or need to discreetly tell someone something, you may wish to choose to deliver the information in the right ear for the best overall chance of hearing success.

ProHieran comes in enteric coated tablets designed for better absorption and decreased GI symptoms. The best results will be noted on an empty stomach or right before a meal. However, resveratrol and certain other minerals may cause irritation of the digestive tract if taken on an empty stomach. This is a natural phenomenon that can occur in anyone. If GI discomfort is an issue, take ProHieran with food. Heartburn medications may be used if desired.

Will this interfere with any of my other medicines?
ProHieran’s ingredients are safe to take with other medicines. However, people on blood thinners should seek the advice of their doctor/pharmacist before taking any compounds containing green tea extracts.

When should I take ProHieran? How much do I take?
One pill twice daily is sufficient for most users. Some find that 3-4 pills a day provides added reduction in other symptoms such as tinnitus and dizzyness. Because B vitamins and the extracts from Green Tea may give an energizing effect, we would discourage taking ProHieran too close to sleep. Morning and midday dosing are recommended.
